The 9th annual HIV & Aging Conference returns with a new date and location, on Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Commons Conference Center on the J.J. Pickle Research Center Campus in Austin, TX. 2019 CONFERENCE Keynote SPEAKERS
Author and national speaker Jacki Gethner has been a licensed body worker since 1987 and received her CADC1 Licensure in 1998. Jacki first started working in the world of HIV/AIDS by starting the massage component of AIDS Medicine and Miracles, which remains the only western/complementary medicine conference in the United States. Since then she has participated in two International AIDS Conference, facilitated workshops at other national and local conferences. In 2009, she received Kaiser Permanente’s National Diversity Award for this work, in addition to other awards in the past decade. This created the opportunity for the birth of her non-profit Women of A Certain Age.
Sharon Lund is an advocate who has been living positive with HIV/AIDS since 1983. She is an international speaker who has lead workshops and speaking engagements on HIV/AIDS and holistic therapies, throughout the United States, into Canada, Europe, Russia, and Japan. She has been interviewed on such shows as Oprah, Eye on America, 48 Hours, and in “O” The Oprah Magazine. Sharon accepted an invitation from President Clinton to speak at the White House, and she is the author of four books and producer of the award-winning documentary Dying to LIVE: Near-Death Experiences. Sharon is the founder of Sacred Life Publishers and the non-profit organization Sacred Living Sacred Dying Org. Sharon lives her life with purpose and passion.
